Dutch Digitenne Multiplex 1 Transport Stream Analysis |
Dutch MUX 1 is operated by the public broadcasters Publieke Omroep which operate 3 national channels, Nederland 1, Nederland 2 and Nederland 3. In every region (province) there is also a regional public broadcaster (here it is "TV Oost"). Public radio stations are also transmitted through this multiplex. Public-service broadcasting in the Netherlands is provided jointly by a number of broadcasters under the protection of NPO. NPO (Netherlands Public Broadcasting, Dutch: Nederlandse Publieke Omroep) in the Netherlands refers to the country's public-service broadcasting system. It is also used as the name of the joint web portal coordinated by the NPO on behalf of all the broadcasting associations. Unlike most other countries' public broadcasting organizations – which are usually national corporations (such as the ORF, RAI and BBC) – the public broadcasting organizations in the Netherlands are member-based broadcasting associations that share common facilities. This arrangement has its origins in the system developed in the Netherlands early in the 20th century and known as pillarisation. Under this system the different confessional and political streams of Dutch society (Catholics, Protestants, socialists, etc.) all had their own separate associations, educational institutions, newspapers, sports clubs, and also broadcasting organizations. On this page you can see the analysis of the MUX 1 transport stream. The displayed data was extracted from the actual broadcasted multiplex (captured by Eric Berendsen, Digitale kabeltelevisie).
The data was captured on 30 june 2009.
